"Two to Tango"

  • "You guys aren’t naked or anything are you?" Chris asked opening the door to Justin and Rori’s room.
  • "Not yet. Come on in." Rori answered.

  • "Joey wants to go clubbing and everyone is going. Are you guys in or are you going to sit here and be lazy?"
  • "Justin, wanna go clubbing?" Rori yelled.

"Yeah!" Justin yelled from behind the bathroom door.

    "Then we are going."

"Good. Be ready in a half hour."

Chris was just about bouncing when he left the room. Rori quickly changed clothes and fixed her hair. Justin did the same. About an hour later the group, made up of Justin, Rori, Joey, JC, Ali, Chris, and Lance, made their way into the nightclub.

"Shall we dance?" Justin asked Rori.

    "Yes we shall."

Rori took his hand and the two walked to the dance floor. The rest of the group split up. Ali and JC followed Rori and Justin to the dance floor. Lance, Chris, and Joey went to look for some girls to dance with. After six upbeat songs, Rori was happy to find that the next song was finally a slow one. Ali and JC were dancing nearby and were slowing dancing their way over to where Rori and Justin were dancing.

"Did you tell him yet?" Ali asked Rori.

    "Tell me what?" asked Justin.

    "Oops," Ali smiled.

"Yeah, oops." Rori rolled her eyes at Ali.

"Um, I think we should leave them alone now."

Ali pulled JC away from where Rori and Justin were still standing.

"What hasn’t Rori told Justin yet?" JC asked Ali.

"I’ll explain it to you in a minute."

  • "One of these days, he is going to get sick of her dragging him around." Rori said of how Ali and JC had left them alone.
  • "Rori? What did you need to tell me?"

"Oh, um, nothing. Don’t worry about it Justin."

"Aurora, what is it? You know can you tell me anything."

    "It’s nothing, Justin."

Justin stopped dancing and dragged Rori off the dance floor and to a table nearby.

    "Justin----."

    "Sit."

He pointed to the chair. Rori did so and Justin sat in the chair next to hers.

  • "For over a week now, I’ve asked you if you were ok or if there was anything you wanted to talk about and you always tell me no and that you are fine. I believed you but I don’t anymore. What is going?"
  • "I don’t really wanna talk about it here."

"Please Rori. Just tell me. Whatever it is, I’m her for you."

"Not here. We need to be alone."

Do you want to go back to the hotel and we can discuss this there?" Justin offered.

    "Not really. I’m having fun."

"Then you’re going to tell me now then."

"You can’t order me around Justin."

    "I’m not trying to!"

Justin was really starting to get frustrated with Rori’s stubbornness.

    "But you are!"

  • "Rori, just tell me whatever Ali was talking about and we can go dance and enjoy the rest of the night."
  • "I’m pregnant." Rori said.

"Rori, why, whoa, what did you just say?"

"I’m going to have a baby Justin. Your baby."

By now there was an upbeat song blaring throughout the club, but Justin and Rori hadn’t even noticed. Justin just sat there in silence for what seemed like an eternity to Rori.

    "Say something Justin," she said.

She put one of her hands on one of his. He pulled away.

"I, I think I need some fresh air."

He slowly stood up and walked away from the table Rori was still sitting at. JC and Ali had been watching from a table nearby. Ali couldn’t just sit there. It was time to butt in.

"I’ll go talk to Justin. You go talk to Rori." Ali said.

"Wait a minute. Shouldn’t it be---?"

  • "No. Go give Rori a hug. She needs it. Then tell her it will be all right. I’m gonna go talk some sense into Justin’s head."
  • They went their separate ways. Ali went to go find Justin and JC headed over to the table where Rori was still sitting. When JC approached her, Rori had her head down on the table.

    "Rori?"

He put his hand on her shoulder.

    "Are you ok?"

    Rori lifted her head.

    "Yeah. Fine. I’m just fine."

"We saw what happened. Ali is outside with Justin right now."

He sat down in the chair across from Rori.

"I’m sure he was just surprised Rori."

  • "Just surprised? Please JC. I’m not that stupid. I’m going back to the hotel. Tell everyone I was just tired and went back to go to sleep."
  • Rori stood up and walked out of the club. While she was waiting for a cab, she saw Justin leaning up against the opposite side of the building talking to Ali. Much to her disappointment, JC had followed her outside.

    "He’s crying." JC said.

"I see that. Why did you follow me?"

  • "I’m not going to let you go back by yourself. Ali would kill me if she found out. We really shouldn’t be out here without security."
  • "I don’t care right now JC."

"You should go talk to him."

    "Yeah. I should."

When she approached him, he was talking quickly to Ali while tears streamed down his cheeks. Ali was listening very carefully to what he was telling her.

  • "…She doesn’t deserve this. I messed up so bad Ali. She probably regrets telling me and---."
  • Jessie cut in.

  • "Justin?"
  • Justin stopped talking and looked at Rori. She walked over to him and leaned her head against his chest while wrapping her arms around his waist. Justin immediately wrapped his arms around her.

  • "I’m so sorry. I love you to much to have wanted this to happen before we were ready for it."

"It’s not you fault. Whether or not we are ready is not the point. We have a bay on the way."

Ali smiled and said, "Yeah. It isn’t all Justin’s fault because it takes two to tango."

  • Everyone laughed and reentered the club.
